Infertility, Pregnancy, Postpartum, and Sexual Issues

Previously Recorded
Ta’ir Wasserman, MFT
$34.99 USD

Infertility, pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period can bring significant physical, emotional, sexual, and relational changes for individuals and couples. These experiences may affect sexual desire, functioning, communication, intimacy, and relationship satisfaction.

This one-hour recorded course examines sexual-health concerns that may arise during fertility challenges, pregnancy, and the postpartum period. Participants will explore sexual-functioning concerns that may interfere with conception when no medical cause of infertility has been identified, common myths and concerns related to sexual activity during pregnancy, and the physical and relational adjustments that may affect postpartum sexuality.

Clinical examples will be used to illustrate common presentations and considerations for supporting individuals and couples throughout these reproductive life stages.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Identify at least two sexual-functioning concerns that may interfere with conception when no medical cause of infertility has been identified.
  2. Identify and correct at least three common myths concerning sexual activity during pregnancy.
